A satisfying pinhooking at the breeze up at Saint Cloud.
Saturday, May 12th
We sold our TEOFILO 2old colt for 65 000€ to Niky DE BALANDA who will train him in Lyon for an English client based in Monaco.
We bought him as a foal in Newmarket for 27 000£ and he could have done more at the breeze-up sales if he had been eligible for the french premium
but in any case this was a positive return.
The real positive note for us cae when lot 129, a GALILEO filly, was knocked down to Narvick international for 420 000€ . We have bought this filly half sister by DALAKHANI as a foal last december for 47 000€ and we will resale her at the Deauville yearling August sales in few months hopefully with a good profit.

A fantastic double for us at Cheltenham today when our purchases collect the two biggest races of the day.
Wednesday, April 18th
HECTOR's CHOICE took the Grade 2 in a very courageous way staying on bravely.
We bought him at the HIT at Arqana in july 2008 for 40 000€.
PATEESE was bought at the same sales in 2009 for 35 000€.
He has now won 3 hurdle races but today was is biggest win and he cruise from last to first to win fairly easely He should be going Chasing next season.

Without having a winner we had a fairly good Aintree festival with three horses finishing close in 3 Gaded races.
Sunday, April 15th
AL FEROF was 3rd in the Betfred Manifesto Novices' Chase Grade 1 and badly need a stepup in trip which he should do next year.We bought him as a yearling for 6 000€
CHANCE DU ROY stayed on very strongly to keep second place in the John Smith's Topham Chase Handicap (Grade 3) for his first start over the National fences. He will be back next year for the same race but could be a Grand National horse on time. He was purchased at the Arqana store sales in july for 47 000€.
At last but not the least THOUSAND STARS who finished 2nd again in the John Smith's Aintree Hurdle Grade 1. Here's the Racingpost statement:
"Thousand Stars, a place in front of the winner in the World Hurdle, must be a fantastic horse to own, as he does plenty of racing over a range on distances and rarely runs badly. He came with a spirited effort after the last hurdle here in a bid to reverse last year´s result, but came up just short again. He´ll be kept on the go for a while yet given his robust nature, but it would be nice to see him tried over fences next season, even though he is eight."

We bought him in a claimer on the flat for 26 000€ and he has now earned in excess of  620 000€...

We still have a selection of young horses for sale and also two nice 4 yolds who could be ideal for point-to-pointing next season before going under rules.

CARLAIN won very easely a good 4 yold chase at Auteuil
Friday, April 6th

The son of LE FOU who was allready a talented hurdler at 3 is now making a very good start to his carrieer over the large obstacles
as he was only beaten a nose on his debut on that speciality at Enghien a month ago.

LE FOU, a half brother to the late MONTJEU is standing in Normandy at Haras du Hoguenet for 1 500€ lf.

BLAZON won the Prix de l'Oise at Compiègne.
Thursday, March 29th

BLAZON, the 5 yold own brother to French 2000 Guineas winner SILVER FROST,
made it 4 wins in 6 starts when winning convincibely the big handicap of the day at Compiegne.

He is now rated 91 and is aiming for another big handicap at Longchamp on the 19th of April.

A very easy win for KAUTO GRAND MOGOL in the Limerick bumper today.
Monday, March 19th
The younger brother to KAUTO STAR was eased down passing the post with 6 lengths in front of two well fancied horses. Not the biggest of horses we bougt him as a yearling at the Arqana october sales in Deauville for 20 000€. You would think that he's worth a fair bit more now!!!!!
He could be off for the season now or go for the Grade 1 Punchestown bumper by the end of April...

FEBRUARY NEWSLETTER

It has been a very busy start of the year with no less than 15 winners in January. We have had quite a lot of Group/listed performers and the Cheltenham festival is looking like it could be very successful for our purchases. AL FEROF and VIOLIN DAVIS will be hot favorite  but horses like THOUSAND STARS ,TENOR NIVERNAIS, HOUBLON DES OBEAUX, NAGPUR , HECTOR 's COICE, DE BOITRON and KALAHARI KING could also all play a major part in their respective races..KAUTO GRAND MOGOL ran a very solid race when finishing second for his debut in a bumper at Punchestown in February and this half brother to the legendary KAUTO STAR could make a name of his own soon. MON MOME got caught twice in the heavy ground but could find his ideal ground in the Gold cup but more so in the Grand National in April.

At the sales in Ireland we sold the yearling half sister to promising MONTBAZON for 13 500€ and a NETWORK yearling colt for 20 000€. At the Arqana February sales we purchased 4 lots including NOT LOST, a  4 year old own sister to NICKNAME who will be covered by MARTALINE.

We still have a cracking 2yold sister to MONTBAZON for sale, a nice 3 yold gelding by ENRIQUE, Sire of BINOCULAR, and from the direct family of VOY POR UPSTEDES, and also a MARTALINE and a KINGSALSA yearling fillies etc.....
Feel free to contact us for further details…

A double at Marseille for our purchases
Monday, February 28th
Both CAT SPIRIT and ZARLY won in good style in each legs of the handicaps. We bought CAT SPIRIT as a yearling for 6000€ and ZARLY was bought privately.
Our flat horses have done quiet well lately with SAPHIR BERE finishing 2nd il a Listed at Cagnes, FRANTZ DE GALAIS winning on the same track as well as did MARONI.

The racing in Paris will now start again and we have big hopes with some youngsters.
VIOLIN DAVIS won the Grade 2,
Saturday, January 23h

1942 Was A Vintage Year Mares' Hurdle (Registered As The Warfield Mares' Hurdle) , saturday at Ascot.
We purchased the 6 yold daughter of TURGEON 4 years ago when sold as a store at the 2008 july sales.
She has now won 4 of her 13 starts and could go straight to Cheltenham

An exciting prospect for LE FOU
Wenesday, January 18th
as CEDRE BLEU won his first run over fences and could be a serious contender at the Cheltenham Festival.
The Paul NICCHOLS trained 5 yold won his novice at Newbury in great style, jumping well and staying on impressively.

LE FOU is still standing at Haras du Hoguenet in Normandy at a fee of 1 500€ lf.

Another good day on the track with two winners and a third.
Saturday, January 7th
BLAZON made it 3 wins in 4 starts when winning easely the opener at Deauville. The own brother to French 2000 guineas winner SILVER FROST stormed home by 3 1/2 lengths under a patient ride of Karl MARTIN.
He will be soon going to better things soon and could become a Group performer on time.
CICERON landed a big gamble at Sandown over hurdles and could be next running in the Betfair Handicap at Newbury. Venetia WILLIAMS horses have now hit top gear and it would be no surprise if he wins again.
MASSICOTIER also bounced back to form and finished a very fast 3rd in a 1500meters handicap at Deauville

What a good way to enter 2012!!!! 1 winner and two 2nds at Cheltenham, plus one winner at Exeter...
Sunday, January 1st
We finished 2011 yesterday with TANGO DE JUILLEY finishing an excellent second at Newbury in a very hot novice hurdle and giving 10 pounds to the winner.
We had over 135 winners in 2011 including Grade 1  NH performers AL FEROF , CHELTENIAN, KAUTO STONE, THOUSAND STARS etc but we also had a lot of black type performers on the flat such as CADEAU FOR MAGGI, FLASH DANCE, KADYNY ...

We also have been very busy at the sales toping a couple of them at Arqana.

Today HOUBLON DES OBEAUX won the tough way at Cheltenham holding on the late challenge of KAY ARAMIS, but the biggest satisfaction of he day was to see MON MOME, the 2009 Grand National winner, getting back into great form when finishing 2nd under 12st 11 and showing that he was back in contention for the Grand National 2012...
HECTOR's CHOICE also finished 2nd in a Grade 3 staying on bravely and he will be a great contender to the staying hcps.

Anyway I am wishing you all a very HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012 and hope that we will have the chance of cooperating again.
